Happy Halloween! 2013

Guess I should start by saying HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
Halloween is one of my top favorite holidays but I am kind of glad it is finally over, for Andrew's sake. He has been deathly afraid of anything dealing with Halloween, except the candy. Well I take that back, He was freaking out when he dumped the candy out and was going through it and saw a finger... Tin covered chocolate that was designed to be a finger. So Drew took it, ate it, and threw away the wrapper.. haha. But all in all we had a great time tonight!
     Our evening went as follows:
First we went to the base hospital and went trick or treating there. We thought it was packed when we went, stood in line like 15 minutes before going through, but when we came out the line was all the way to the parking lot! But this is where Andrew and Lillian got the most candy. It was a little on the spooky side for a toddler but probably perfect for school aged kids. (Although there were A LOT of toddlers and babies that did not have any trouble with it, like I said before Halloween creeps Andrew out this year) But his favorite treat of the night he got from a lady there who had two big buckets, one was full of apples and one was full of candy, and she gave them the choice. He chose the apple and pretty much ate it right away! But they both ended up with their buckets full. He had a Darth Vader one and her's was a glow in the dark pumpkin one. When done we went to the car and dumped the candy in a grocery bag so they could use the buckets at the next place.

Second we went to the Squadron Halloween Party and we had hot dogs there and the kids were able to get some more candy. They showed the Charlie Brown Pumpkin cartoon. (I know that's not the name of it...)
Third we went to the neighborhood community "Trunk Or Treat" party. It ended up being in a huge bay area because I guess we were expecting snow. But this evening's weather was quite nice if you ask me! But within like 30 minutes we were done there, not a lot going on really.

The fourth and final thing that we did was just the regular door to door trick or treating. Someone had previously told Drew the road to go down and do if we were going to go and that was were like the highest ranking people live. The one street was all that we got to do though because they were both done and ready to go home. But they both ended up getting two full size candy bars and there was a goody bag that was given out that had all sorts of goodies in it.

Every time we got done at one place we would dump their buckets into that one grocery bag. By the end of the night the grocery bag was FULL!!

Even though I ended up carrying Andrew for 75% of the night and Lillian cried 75% of the time on the last street, we all had a good time. Next up is Thanksgiving, then after that we will be back in the South for Christmas! (Just barely making it in time)

Below is a picture (Left to Right) Of my Lillian and on the right is her cousin (who is actually Andrew's age) Chloe (My little sister's daughter) It is crazy how much they look alike. We lived in Germany when Chloe was born... and grew up. I have never really seen her in person but a few times. My sister posted this to my FaceBook page today.
